For many years I have known David Victor. When he was touring with BOSTON we discussed some of his experiences on the road and his desire to give back to others in a more tangible way. When he came up with the idea for Harmony & Healing, I knew it would be a world-class idea. For many years I have been aware of the healing power of music for those with illness and distress. David's mission is to provide this healing by bringing artists to the bedside or in small groups at the places of care. What a wonderful mission, and a perfect encapsulation of David's calling. The Harmony & Healing music charity, and David Victor, have been presenting live interactive Facebook shows since March 2020, and throughout this Covid associated time. I have connected and attended almost all of these shows. I truly look forward to each show, as David brings music, stories, interviews, laughs, happiness, and positive feelings to all us of during this isolated time. I was generously gifted a little private concert with David Victor, and I was literally moved to tears realizing he was bringing his calling to me. In these days of Covid, David cannot perform in hospitals but technology has made it possible for him to reach so many more people, even globally now, and I became one of the very fortunate recipients of his healing music. His music brought me right back to my college years and lifted my spirits to the sky! Bringing music and good cheer to the sick and lonely is such a beautiful cause to support. So much effort is made to heal the body with little attention to the spirit, but Harmony and Healing is that rare organization that uplifts the spirit through the universal language of music. David Victor is a talented musician, and instead of resting on his laurels he chooses to give back every time he performs. He is passionate about his music and the nonprofit organization he and his wife started- Harmony and Healing. He brings his caring soul and talent to those hospitalized or who need care. David Victor is an amazing musician and his Harmony & Healing music charities bring so much comfort and healing to so many. When my dear aunt was one of the first people in Montana to succumb to Covid-19 and a week later when I lost a dear friend to Parkinson's, I reached out to David to sing a song in their memory. He sang "Calling All Angels" with such heartfelt kindness on a live Harmony & Healing show which warmed my heart. I will never forget it. Everyone I met in this ministry is energetic and very caring. David Victor is such a whole-hearted performer; he was spectacular at the Boise Harmony and Healing event. The healing power of music has been studied for years! The effects of music are known to reduce depression, increase healing and soothe pain. Charity founder, David Victor, brings live music to the patient's bedside! I've personally known David for a few years and he is a very caring, personable and giving man. This past weekend my husband and I attended our 1st Harmony & Healing Benefit Concert at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore. It definitely won’t be our last! David Victor, Tony Lindsay & all the incredible musicians had us dancing to our favorite classic rock songs! In addition to the concert, there were many great auction items to bid on (wine, sports memorabilia, trips, spa certificates, private concert), as well as a raffle. We had a wonderful time supporting H & H, and are already looking forward to next year’s event! ~ Marianne S

I am so glad that I have had the opportunity to meet David Victor! His charity Harmony & Healing is an amazing charity. They go in and visit individuals at hospitals. During COVID a virtual visit can be made. Music is very therapeutic and can help people. Please check out this amazing charity that helps/gives people in hospitals hope! As the Child Life Coordinator at George Mark Children's House, I can say our patients and families always look forward to the musical performances Harmony & Healing provides for them! I tested positive for COVID19 and David was so kind to have a virtual visit with me via zoom. Music truly soothes the soul and is the greatest medicine. David sang multiple requests for me and at times I had to hold back the tears - just knowing there are good people in this world who truly care. What a great way to "give back"...the music charity Harmony & Healing visited the Stanford Hospital to play for patients (this was just before Covid). I was so touched when I first learned of this amazing project by David Victor, a serious rock star not only as a former member of Boston, arguably one of the most famous American rock bands, but also based on his original work and national tours with other excellent bands. Rather than resting on his impressive laurels, however, David instead decides to use his tremendous musical and vocal talent, as well as his winning, charismatic, humorous, self-effacing personality, to help people of all ages who are ill, injured, and in pain. His unique non-profit Harmony & Healing Project brings awesome, uplifting, healing music to those least likely to have access to a talented rock star up close and personal, and arguably, in their suffering, need it most. Studies have shown that patients hearing music they enjoy helps reduce anxiety and alleviate depression, calm heart and respiratory rates, lower elevated blood pressure, and reduce pain naturally, among other benefits. David Victor is as caring and compassionate as he is brilliantly talented, and in my opinion, his program should be subsidized by the government and major foundations to maximize his impact for good.
